The option of drawing from different technologies makes hybrid systems very efficient; depending on your building's insulation value, the installation will respond to demand, generally running the heat pump during spring and autumn seasons. It will then employ the condensing boiler during the coldest days of the year for maximum comfort.
The system consists of an Aurax Eco heat pump combined with a high-power condensing boiler (single or cascade), managed by a TMU – Thermal Control Unit with integrated stratified stainless steel storage tank.

The TMU is equipped with a special separation diaphragm that optimises the alternating or parallel operation of the available heat generators. The position and size of the hydraulic connections in the stainless steel unit have been designed to maximise the contribution of the heat pump and the stratification of the system.
A separation diaphragm ensures efficient generator operation, while the stainless-steel unit with optimised hydraulic connections maximises heat pump contribution and system stratification.
Alternating operation Heat Pump only
The heat pump heats the lower part of the TMU. Hot water stratifies upwards and supplies the system.
Parallel operation Heat Pump and Boiler
The heat pump preheats the lower section. The boiler heats the upper part if needed, near system delivery — each source works where it’s most efficient.
Alternating operation Boiler only
The boiler heats only the upper section, minimizing water volume at high temperature.
Hybridos Eco minimises environmental impact by intelligently combining a high-efficiency heat pump with a condensing boiler. The system prioritises renewable energy from the heat pump and activates the boiler only when needed, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and overall pollutant output while ensuring reliable comfort year-round.
Thanks to its dual-source design, Hybridos Eco guarantees uninterrupted operation in all conditions. If the heat pump reaches its performance limit, the condensing boiler automatically provides additional power, ensuring consistent heating, hot water production, and maximum system reliability throughout the year.
By integrating renewable heat pump technology with a high-efficiency condensing boiler, Hybridos Eco complies with European energy directives and qualifies for incentive schemes. In many EU countries, building owners can benefit from tax deductions of up to 65%, making the system not only environmentally responsible but also financially attractive.
